The Josh Gottheil Memorial Fund for Lymphoma Research
When Jeff was at University of Illinois he helped Professor Gottheil with the fund, which was established by the Gottheils in memory of their son, Josh, who died of lymphoma in 1991. The purpose of the fund is to reward registered nurses for meritorious practice in bone marrow transplant nursing by providing financial assistance to attend a continuing-education program(s) that will further his or her professional goals or to supplement tuition in a bachelor's or master's program.
The Dukem, Ethiopia Health Clinic
Leelie Selassie, a close family friend, (and sister of Bereket) is involved in the founding of a health clinic in Ethiopia. The Clinic at Dukem will provide basic and preventive health care to individuals in the rapidly growing Dukem community (in close proximity to Addis Ababa). One part of the clinic will be devoted primarily to pre-natal, children and women's health care, while another part of the clinic will work with HIV/AIDS patients.
You can make the donation in cash (Euros, Francs, or Dollars) or U.S. check. Checks should be made out to:
- Western Presbyterian Church-Ethiopia Clinic, or
- Josh Gottheil Memorial Fund
